No, stances just happen, they're not cast or anything.
Which is kind of funny... you'd think if someone got knocked down their stance would be broken...
However, as a primary ranger, I'm glad of it.

I power spiked an opposing mesmers power spike...completely by accident - I'd gone for the previous spell but was too slow and as he cast his power spike immediately after the 1st I got that instead.
Pretty funny to get a WTF??? when their .25 cast time spell got slapped down

I <3 my Interrupt Ranger. Monks are my favourite to pick on. I especially like when they they try to run and hide behind walls. Poor ickle monkey...when you tie up a monk and keep him out of the battle you know you're doing something good for your team.
Eles are fun too since they have plenty of slow cast spells that are great to interrupt just as they're about to be cast...interrupt skills should come with an extra attribute; Energy, Activation Time, Recharge Time, and Pissed-Off Frustration Caused to Victim!
Interrupting Ghostly Hero is also fun.

Was probably the time a monk started complaining about my concussion shot hitting his RoF (completely accidental, I assure you)

i love playing interrupt/poison ranger in 4v4 pvp.
these are some of my favorite interrupt moments:
- as posted earlier, distracting shot on an interrupt ranger w/ no stances using troll ungent, followed poison arrow
- interrupt healing breeze, then distracting shot on heal sig on w/mo's usually when they're about to die
- concussion shot on any casters, but especially monks because they are so hard to time. then watching the casters run around, getting interrupted everytime they are hit muhaha
- waiting until the last second to interrupt a res sig w/ savage shot so they've wasted 2.5 sec doing nothing. then as they're frantically trying to rez sig again, use distracting shot on them at the 2 sec mark as they are being taken down by the rest of my team
- this is just hilarious, but interrupting an 8 sec cast restore life at the last sec =)
- i love interrupting balth's aura because you know they just wasted 25 energy, but even more interrupting zealots followed by balths
- eles are always fun to interrupt because their casts are so slow
- most fun is probably distracting shot on a heavy enchant monk using blessed sig for energy, repeatedly. once i got into this cat and mouse game w/ a korean monk in random pvp. he would repeatedly try to fool me into wasting my interrupts so he could get a blessed sig out, but he's have to abort everytime he saw me firing an arrow not knowing whether or not it was an interrupt or not. and i'd try to catch him off guard and not waste my interrupts .. i really need to cap oath shot. unfortunately the other team had 2 monks, but this poor monk could only squeeze out an orison/mending for my constant poisoning. but yah, that was a challenge heh.
- or long bow interrupts on short cast spells using read the wind, i love that lol
- one more, sitting in the middle of 3 wars banging on me, all blinded by throw dirt, while i troll ungent and interrupt their spells and sigs, sitting pretty in whirling defense

Yeah if you can interupt a 3 fiths of a second spell with power block you a very good interupter or just lucky tbh, not easy to do.

Agree! I have tried to interrupt monks with both my ranger and mesmer. With the mesmer using power block or power leak for example. It is simply too difficult to do with any consistency. The monk skills are too fast, in particular reversal, so I am thinking of trying backfire or guilt.

Interrupts can be all the more fun when combined with Arcane Conundrum or Migraine...or both!
At one point I slapped those two on a fire ele and, for whatever insane reason, he decided then would be a good time to cast meteor shower.
So I go and bug the Monks for a bit, hexing and interrupting them while saving my Power Block. 15 seconds or so later I switched back to the ele, 9/10ths finished casting, and threw it just before the end.
Poor guy rage quit immediately afterwards. I love being a Mesmer.

Get a quick concussion shot interrupt in there, the rest of the spells (for 12 secs) all take considerably longer to cast, which equates to easier interrupting.
Great fun!

Fragility is great to interupt.
It destroys the fragility build and they become useless alltogether.

I was in CA last night and the other team was down to a w/mo and a ranger.
The W/Mo was using a lot of monk spells so I slapped an arcane conundrum on him. About 5 seconds later he actually tried to cast Restore Life....
